POLICIES
RATES
Rates are for single and double occupancy. We can accommodate additional persons in our two suites (Squam and Winnipesaukee) at a rate of $25 dollars extra per person per night.
ENTIRE INN RENTAL
To rent the entire Inn, a deposit of 50% of entire stay is required. All rooms must be rented and cannot be cancelled at any time after the initial deposit is received.
CREDIT CARDS
We proudly accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Please be sure to check your dates carefully as this in turn will affect your deposit given. Please see below.
DEPOSITS
A deposit of one night’s stay is required unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
CANCELLATIONS
If your plans change after your reservation is confirmed, notice is required 14 days in advance of arrival to obtain a refund of your deposit, less a $25.00 service charge. If you cancel your reservation within 14 days of your arrival you are responsible for the balance of your reservation. If we are able to re rent your room, you will be refunded your deposit and any balance paid less the $25.00 service charge. The cancellation policy also applies to changes in your arrival/departure date which results in a shorter stay, and no refunds are provided for late arrivals or early departures.
MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENTS
Two nights on all weekends and holidays unless otherwise stated. Although we do require a two night stay on all weekends, occasionally our availability allows us to book you for just one night. Please call to inquire about a one night stay.
CHECK IN
Our regular check in hours are between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. If you will be arriving outside this window, please call 603-279-3434 and let us know what time you will be arriving so we can greet you!
Check out is at 11:00 AM, however guests are welcome to spend time exploring around Ballard House after checking out.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
We do not have a liquor license, however guests are welcome to bring their own. We provide refrigeration, as well as sodas, juices, coffee, teas, and complimentary ice.
SMOKING
The Ballard House Inn has a strict no smoking policy anywhere in the building to maintain the historic charm of the Inn. If we are required to clean your room or any area of the Inn due to smoke odor/damage you will be assessed a $175.00 cleaning fee.
CHILDREN
The Inn is suitable for children 10 years of age or older. All children are assessed the $25.00 extra person charge.
PETS
Unfortunately we do not allow pets.
